February Painting

Macy, 6x8, oil, © June Rollins

February had more packing and unpacking than painting. I did manage one oil.

On moving day, my husband and I were surrounded by boxes when we heard a knock at our door.

Our across the street neighbor greeted us with a knowing smile. “I thought you might appreciate this.”

Michelle brought forth from her basket, aluminum wrapped, warm from her oven, homemade eggplant parmesan. My husband and I swooned.

A few days afterward, Michelle was walking her little white chihuahua, Macy. I took the opportunity to thank her and take a few photos of her rescue pup.

When dry, varnished and framed, I hope to surprise her as she surprised us. One good turn deserves another.

Enjoying the journey,

June
