June Painting
I was initially attracted to this image because of the soft lighting, but as I painted a sense of how we need each other emerged.
I’m retiring the end of August from an almost 12-year full-time job. An identity with the workplace and bonds with co-workers will shift. Not end. Shift.
I’m in a threshold place now. A lovely place to be if you can be comfortable with uncertainty.
I was a fulltime artist when Rob and I arrived in western NC twelve years ago, teaching workshops and doing shows. I knew when I accepted a part-time position that soon became a full-time job, my life would change.
It’s gearing up to change again.
Enjoying the journey,
June
