Cure for Procrastination

I had chosen a photo of a white horse I really wanted to paint, but for two days, I’d busied myself with essentials, like taking out the trash or folding laundry. Who was I kidding? I was procrastinating.

When I realized the 18x24 white canvas sitting on my easel had me spooked, I lowered my expectations to a 6x8 panel.

I’ll be there was created without a sketch. Confidence buoyed, I tackled a 9x12 with a slower, gridded sketch.
