First Light

Every morning is a beginning.

One of the benefits of journaling is looking back and reading in your own words what your hopes and dreams were from the previous year. Some of mine came to fruition and some didn’t. I see both outcomes as a guiding compass to help plot the course for this year, which includes a steep learning curve.

Already, I’ve wiped a canvas clean of two failed attempts. It’s okay. I’m not discouraged. I’m accustomed to bad results in the beginning. Plus, I’ve invested $400 in a year-long self-study opportunity, which is also a motivating force.

Be willing to be a beginner every single morning. - Meister Eckhart
